Ubisoft Delays South Park: The Fractured But Whole to Next Year

In a stealthy post on its official blog, Ubisoft officially and unceremoniously announced as part of its "Corporate Updates" that South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be delayed to next year:

South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, calendar Q1 2017. The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.

Given that the game was originally going to drop on December 6 this year, the delay isn't terribly surprising. Any game slated in December, before the Black Friday rush, is vulnerable to delays.

The Q1 2017 release date for South Park: The Fractured But Whole means that it will release some time between January and March, and mkaing an educated guess, most likely hitting in either late February or March.

That said, if our early impressions at E3 and Gamescom are any indication, the game is still in good hands.
