Terry Crews Might Be the Voice Actor For An Upcoming Overwatch Hero

Terry Crews might be known for cool things like being the Old Spice guy, an actor, and even an NFL player, but there are few things he enjoys more than technology and gaming. Only a few months ago he invested in high-end gaming hardware, going as far as to put together the entire rig using his own two hands. During his time using the gaming PC he's grown fond of Overwatch, and it appears that Overwatch has become fond of him.

This week Terry Crews went to the Blizzard HQ in Irvine, California to check out the premises and have a chat with some of the developers. Although that might not seem like a story, the visit came on the heels of rumors of him doing voice work for an upcoming character to be added to the game.

The character in question is named Doomfist, and he's been rumored since before the game ever released. Shown in a virtual poster on an early version of the Numbani map, the muscular character uses a massive metal gauntlet to punish his enemies. Although Terry Crews is a kind man at heart, his ferocious voice and muscular appearance has made him a prime candidate for voicing the rumored character.

A lot of the speculation is just that, speculation. However, today Terry Crews went as far as to ask his Twitter followers if him voicing the character is a good idea. The tweet reads:

Who wants to hear me do the voice of Doomfist for real??

The tweet has already accumulated over 3,300 retweets and 6,400 likes in a matter of hours. The demand for his role as the hero could make it a reality, if it isn't already.

It's been almost two months since Overwatch, the latest of which is an Offensive hero named Somba. Given the previous patch schedule for the game it likely won't be until late February or March that we hear anything more about the next hero, who is likely to be a Tank or Defensive hero. Doomfist is a likely candidate.
