Best Mobile Game 2011

Jetpack Joyride

Platform: iOS

Publisher: Halfbrick Studios

Developer: Halfbrick Studios

When it comes down to it, the best mobile games are the ones that waste the most time. Jetpack Joyride has no peer in this regard. Whether you're hopping on for a quick spin on your bubble machine jetpack or going for the medal that requires you to high-five 15 scientists, Jetpack Joyride is a joyfully arcade-y mobile game with tons of content and even more replayability… and it's only $0.99.

Halfbrick's "daring escape" game deftly expands on the success Fruit Ninja has seen while retaining some of their unique humor. When a developer is showing you their game and gets caught up playing it themselves, it's hard not to smile. We don't review too many mobile games at GameRevolution, but Jetpack Joyride deserves special attention.
