t@g AR Game for Vita Lets You Do Graffiti With Risk Of Jail Time

The European PlayStation Blog detailed a new PlayStation Vita Augmented Reality game "discovery app" called t@g, that lets you tag up real-world locations using your Vita's touch-screen, then share your creations with the rest of the world.

The best part (or worst for you badasses) is that you don't actually have to deface public property, so you won't end up behind bars.

The game promises a strong social element, that lets both newbie and veteran street-artists share their work, earn credits, and battle it out on global leaderboards.

It certainly sounds interesting, but there's a major catch. This only works on the 3G PlayStation Vita model, because it uses GPS functionality. That's one big WTF, Sony.

If this is up your alley, then you may want to consider springing for the 3G model over the Wifi. It also means that other titles could rely on this GPS functionality, and therefore only work with the 3G Vita. For $50 more smackers, it means your Vita will be able to play ALL Vita games.
