Phantasy Star Online 2 Breaks Exclusivity And Goes To Vita

A rumor spread last week that led us to believe that the world of Phantasy Star is coming to the Vita. Not only was the rumor true, but the title is one that was previously PC exclusive.

SEGA announced today that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita next year. The best part is that the two platforms will play together in harmony, and you can enjoy each of your characters either at home on your computer, or on the road with the Vita

Seeing as how a Vita was chosen instead of any home console, the potential of the device is really beginning to show. Konami has shown similar interests with "transfarring" which will enable you to use the same save state on both the PS3 and Vita. Now you'll never have an excuse to not be gaming. Well, except maybe in the shower. Having an online RPG like Phantasy Star Online announced within the first year of the device's existence begs the question: what else is in store? Grand Theft Auto V and Final Fantasy Versus XIII would make fine additions *hint hint*.
