Random Wii U Rumors Speak Of Power, Resolutions

Considering how leak-filled the entire game industry is, it's downright strange that there haven't been more rumors and leaks of the Wii U's final specs, power, games, or really anything related to Nintendo's next console. But finally, some extremely random tidbits have arrived via a forum poster over at NeoGAF.

The rumors focus mostly on the Wii U's resolution on games, and how they will vary depending on the strain each game puts on the system.

First, it's said that the Wii U will run most games at 720p due to the tablet controller eating up some resources. However, less intensive games are possible to run at 1080p, but it will be uncommon and limited to Mii-like first-party Nintendo games. Third-party games are expected to look slightly better than PS3 and Xbox 360 games, and things like resolution and framerate will depend on how the tablet controller is used.

The tablet controller itself is said to be able to run at 480p.

None of these rumors can be confirmed so take with salt grains.
