Max Payne Coming To A Mobile Device Near You

If Rockstar's upcoming entry in the Max Payne franchise has you itching for more, you're in luck, as the developer has just announced that the original PC classic will be making its way to the iOS and Android platforms later this month.

Max Payne Mobile will be available on the iPhone April 12th leaving all the suckers who own an Android-powered phone waiting an extra two weeks for its launch on April 26th. As you would expect, the game will sport a fresh coat of high-definition paint and feature touch controls. In addition, Rockstar's recently unveiled Social Club connectivity will serve as an added bonus.

The developer has released a list of compatible iOS devices that will be able to run the game, which include the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad, iPad 2 and the third generation iPad. Looks like I'll finally need to upgrade my dated little iPhone 3 if I want to get in on the fun.

There's no doubt that Rockstar has carefully timed the release of this port to help build momentum for the upcoming launch of Max Payne 3, which is set to arrive on May 18th.
