Atari Releases Greatest Hits Collection for iOS Devices

I got my first taste of gaming way back in the very early '80s on the Atari 2600. My father was obsessed with Activision's Kaboom!, while I preferred my favorite game, ET (totally kidding!). Ah, memories… I've tried dusting off the old Atari 2600 to relive some of the classics, but I want to vomit when I see the graphics being displayed on my 52" HDTV.

Atari has the solution for spoiled rotten brats like me. They've released Atari's Greatest Hits on iTunes, a collection of 18 Atari arcade classics and 82 Atari 2600 titles, ready to be played on iOS devices. The free app comes only with Pong, but you can purchase any of the additional 99 games in-app. Buying the entire lot will set you back only $14.99, or you can pick up 4-packs of games for just 99 cents.

Additionally, Atari's Greatest Hits will be the first to support the iCade mini iPad arcade cabinet when it ships this June.
