White Knight Chronicles II Coming Stateside

White Knight Chronicles
released on the PS3 in 2009 at a time when finding a good RPG on the PS3 was no easy task. And while WKC wasn't exactly a glowing example of the genre, it did garner a decent following.

A sequel was released in Japan last year, published by Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan. Much like what happened with Demon's Souls (where it was published by SCEJ in Japan, but by Atlus in the US), Sony didn't have plans to bring it to the states. Demon's Souls went on to sell over a million copies in the US and joining the PS3's Greatest Hits lineup this past September.

D3 Publisher saw a similar opportunity and has teamed up with Professor Layton developer, Level-5, to release White Knight Chronicles II in the US. Details are still scarce, but D3 told IGN that the sequel would come with a remastered copy of first White Knight Chronicles game

Shortly following this news, the game's official North American box art (below) was revealed.
