Tony Hawk Will Pro Skate Again

Remember when skateboarding was cool and relevant to your interests? I've been through it twice: once in the 80's as a chubby little wanna-be decked out in neon safety gear and again in the late 90's as a cynical, jaded, know-it-all teenager. And as the decade long gap between skateboarding popularity reaches its inevitable turn-around, Tony Hawk is there to spill the beans on his newest game. In a brief interview with Pixelated Geek, Tony let the following slip:

"We're going to do something probably for next year, but I can't give too much away…But definitely we're going to make new games, yes."

This is the first year in a long, long time that a Tony Hawk game has not hit the shelves and the last few to come out, well… they sucked to put it nicely. Let's hope whatever re-tooling they're working on over at Activision is enough to make this series as great as it was back when I was a stoned teenager who had nothing better to do all day than hang out with my buddies, watch Jack Ass, and completely pwn everyone at the mall level in Pro Skater.
