Left 4 Dead 2: Cold Stream Gets Release Date, More Content Coming

After over a year of being in beta for PC users, Left 4 Dead 2's latest DLC package is ready to rock.

Valve has announced that Left 4 Dead 2: Cold Stream will be releasing on July 24th for Xbox 360 and PC. Cold Stream adds a new campaign as well as four classic maps including Death Toll, Blood Harvest, Crash Course, and Dead Air.

No pricing details have been released but in the past content has been free for PC users.

In typical Valve fashion more upcoming content was teased—damn they're mysterious. Valve posted the following on the official Left 4 Dead blog:

There are some other surprises and details we will give you later but for now we just want to confirm an often requested feature.

If I had to guess I'd say that Valve is working on Steam Workshop integration for Left 4 Dead 2. Can you imagine how many haunting scenarios people would make if given the tools? We'll have to wait and see what they're up to, but for now at least we can enjoy some new content.
