Battlefield 1’s Upcoming DLC Plans Revealed, Will Include In the Name of the Tsar and Nivelle Nights Map

Since Battlefield 1 released last year it has accumulated a total of 20 million players. EA decided to kick off its EA Play presentation by talking about what’s to come for the game.

Two upcoming DLCs were announced, the bigger of the two being In the Name of the Tsar. This major DLC will add the Russian army, six new maps, vehicles, weapons, and also the Women’s Battalion of Death, represented by the Russian Scout class.

The other DLC is called Nivelle Nights, a map set in the dark. The poor visibility of the map lends itself to a very different experience than traditional Battlefield maps which requires communication and makes closer-ranged weapons preferable.

EA also revealed that in the near future progression will be changed so that players can tailor the experience to their tastes, and a new competitive mode will be added that focuses on smaller, more tight-nit gameplay.
