The first in-game footage of Jurassic World Evolution has been revealed, highlighting how the theme park simulator will look when it launches next year.
The new trailer consists of footage captured directly in the game, featuring a Tyrannosaurus rex standing giant-toe-to-giant-toe with a Triceratops, a look at various weather effects and close-ups of the dinosaurs themselves. Jurassic World Evolution is set to be a spiritual successor to Operation Genesis, the underrated 2003 park-building game that went on to garner a cult following among Jurassic Park fans.

Though the game will release to coincide with the upcoming Jurassic World sequel, it’s fortunately shaping up to be much more accomplished than your average movie tie-in game. For one, Frontier Developments are at the helm of the game, a developer responsible for both Planet Coaster and Elite: Dangerous. With the team having already proven that they can deliver an excellent theme park sim, it’s great to hear that they’re behind Jurassic World Evolution, and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got up their sleeves for the game beyond this in-game footage.
Jurassic World Evolution is set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in June 2018. You can watch the brand new footage in the video below:
