Nintendo Announces North American Launch Details For Wii U

Nintendo has revealed that the Wii U will launch on Sunday, November 18th in North America. The console will launch with two different bundle options—much like in Japan. The basic option, which will retail for $299 comes with a white console, GamePad, AC adaptor, sensor bar and HDMI cable.

The premium option ($349) includes a black console, console stand, GamePad cradle, a larger hard drive, NintendoLand and everything included in the basic bundle.

In addition, the company revealed that New Super Mario Bros. U will be available on launch day.

What do you think? Is the console priced too high? Will Sony and Microsoft need to counter with price drops for their consoles? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
