Star Wars The Old Republic Free Premium Trial Now Available

Bioware is offering a free premium trial in Star Wars The Old Republic to anyone who receives a referral link from their friends. This is part of “The Friends of Star Wars The Old Republic” program.

Active Premium players or Subscribers will have a personal referral link to send to their friends. To qualify, their friends must never have had a Star Wars The Old Republic account. If they have been Premium players before, they still qualify if they have not subscribed within 90 days of the referral. If their friends become a Premium player within 14 days of signing up using the referral link, they will receive 500 Bonus Cartel Coins plus 100 Cartel Coins for every month that your referred friend remains a Premium player, as well as special in-game rewards including the Kurtob Alliance Speeder and adventurous Battle Droid.

As for referred friends, newcomers to Star Wars The Old Republic can play up to Level 50 with no time limit as a Free-to-Play player. They will also receive the Jumpstart Bundle with boosts for faster leveling, including one quick travel pass and an inventory module.

However, referred friends who were previously Premium players will receive seven days of premium play with unlimited access to Level 50 and the Preferred Friends Bundle, which unlocks an inventory module, crew skill slot and customization controls such as display titles and unify colors. Finally, they will receive one complimentary character transfer, for as long as the account is active.

Players who re-subscribe as a Premium player will receive 30-days of additional Game Time added to their account, if they apply the “SWTORSHARETHELOVE” code by February 27th. Other rewards include the Chiss Talon Interceptor Airspeeder and the Force Veteran’s Armor Set, which will be available from March 1st to March 2nd through in-game mail.

Additionally, the United Forces update expanded the players’ connection to the entire community, making it easier to join with friends, discover new guilds and reap exciting rewards in multiplayer. Flashpoint, “A TRAITOR AMONG CHISS” is a new story-driven update, where players will pursue a mysterious traitor through Copero. The new Galactic Starfighter map lets players pilot their Starfighters over the skies of Iokath in fierce 12v12 space battles. Finally, players will join forces with friends against Scvya, the face of Destruction and a deadly super-droid weapon, in the new Operation Boss Fight added in January.
