Bethesda Creates Battlecry Studios

Bethesda has announced the creation of Battlecry Studios in Austin, alongside Arkane Studios (also based in Austin) which is anticipating thousands of copies shipped for its new title Dishonored.

Heading the studio is Rich Vogel, who most recently was the executive producer of BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic and has experience with Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies. He is already looking for qualified developers to join the studio (with jobs available here):

I have always admired and respected Bethesda’s approach to making great, original games. It’s a belief and passion I share, and I’m looking forward to building a team of high quality developers who want to bring that same commitment and creative energy to the games we’ll be creating.

With Vogel's history of MMOs, this might be the best time to create a Fallout MMO or assist in the production of the The Elder Scrolls Online. Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks, calls it "a new exciting project", so perhaps Battlecry Studios will be creating an entirely new title based on an original IP.
