Microsoft Perma-Banning Halo 4 Pirates

The ban hammer has fallen. As we reported last weekHalo 4 has been leaked ahead of its November 6th release date and the game has been spreading like wildfire thanks to pirates. As such, Microsoft is taking swift and immediate action, permanently banning gamers for "prerelease title play".

This news comes from Reddit (via Eurogamer), where users have been lamenting the fact that they've taken a pirated version of Halo 4 online. We've included a copy of the perma-ban notification below in the hopes of scaring away anyone who may have been considering the pirate route. Just don't do it.

Please guys, don't pirate Halo 4. The members of 343 Industries have slaved away on this game for years only to have it stolen and ruined before release. We've only got three more weeks to wait. Stay patient.
