Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Screenshots Leaked

Assassin’s Creed has to be the leakiest franchise in video game history, though considering that this next game looks to be as stunning as Origins, we won’t complain. That said, for those who were hoping that Ubisoft would be able to keep things under wraps so more of their latest Assassin’s Creed game wouldn’t leak out to the press, well, today is going to be a disappointing one. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey screenshots have leaked.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (which sadly isn’t a spin-off from Mario Odyssey) was leaked back on May 31st, all thanks to a promotional item: a Greek helmet keychain. It wasn’t the most spectacular of leaks, but it did lead to some incredible speculation among fans. Some wondered if would carry on direct from Bayek, whereas others were too busy wondering if you could yell ‘this is Sparta’ as you kicked someone off a roof. It was kind of confirmed that you could, by the way. Check below to see for yourself.

As you can see, it was already confirmed by Ubisoft and the Assassin’s Creed Twitter that we would be seeing more of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey this E3. However, with these Odyssey screenshots leaked already, it may take some of the excitement away for some fans.

The screenshots originally came to the surface thanks to Gematsu, who also speculates the possibility that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey could debut at Microsoft’s conference today, as well as Ubisoft’s own on June 11th. It is possible, but we’re not holding our breath.

Check out the new images for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey below.

So what do you think of these new screenshots? Do they look like they belong in an Origins DLC, or do you believe that we should wait until we have all the facts before judging Ubisoft’s newest addition to the Assassins Creed series? Let us know in the comments below.
