Shadow of The Tomb Raider

E3 2018: Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay Trailer Shown at Square Enix Conference

Square Enix have shown off a whole lot of brand-new Shadow of the Tomb Raider gameplay. In its short E3 presser, Square showed off a lot of new content, including Lara shooting a guy in the arm with a bow and arrow, making him scream in pain and shoot out his gun in terror – alerting a fellow guard, classic stealth game stuff.

New techniques such as wall running and grappling were shown off in a gritty new clip. The stealth looks upgraded from before and Lara has even more strings to her bow. The dark new entry into Square’s rebooted Tomb Raider series promises that we’ll finally see Lara Croft transition into the Tomb Raider. Alongside the new gameplay details, we were also treated to a new trailer. Boy, we are spoiled.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Welcome to the Jungle

Although we’re promised that Lara will become the Tomb Raider (wasn’t she already?), what we are shown is a shinier version of what we played through in Rise of the Tomb Raider. This time, however, Lara has heard her inner Batman and copied a few of his moves. It looks as good, if not better than what we have played before, and that is a good thing, all set in a dangerous jungle environment.

Becoming one with the jungle, Lara can swing through treetops, grapple enemies and hang them from the branches and stealthily kill them from above. Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks every bit as brutal, fun and stealthy as you might have hoped. And thank God, her bow and arrow is just as overly powerful – take that automatic rifles.

We can’t wait to adapt, survive and explore as Lara Croft all over again. Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait as Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches September 14th, 2018.
