Announced at E3 last week with a flashy trailer, fans have been wondering exactly when Devil May Cry 5 will release. As it turns out, we won’t be waiting for a perennial age before we get to play the latest entry of Capcom’s action series. Indeed, Capcom have announced that announced the Devil May Cry 5 release date window, with it scheduled to launch before March 2019. That really isn’t a long wait. We’ll be playing Devil May Cry 5 within a year. This is great news, as Capcom has already narrowed down the vague “Spring 2019” release window we were originally given.
Devil May Cry 5 Release Date: Sooner, Rather Than Later
A while back, Capcom announced that it would be releasing two major titles by the end of the fiscal year. The fiscal year ends on March 31, 2019, putting Devil May Cry 5 right into that ballpark. Even though it is great that we’re getting Devil May Cry 5 sooner, rather than later, this does mean we now know the identity of both the major titles Capcom was teasing.
Title number two of Capcom’s two major releases before the end of the current fiscal year is none other than its recently announced remake of Resident Evil 2. This REmake will launch January 25, 2019. If you’re worrying that perhaps Capcom doesn’t have anything lined up to release before 2018 comes to an end, don’t fret. Mega Man 11 is launching by the end of the year. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is also seeing release before long, too. Add all these games up and throw Monster Hunter World in there and Capcom’s year is looking mighty fine.
It’s great that Devil May Cry 5 is releasing soon, but we don’t know much about the game. What we do know is that it features three playable characters. Dante returns alongside Nero, and the third has yet to be announced. Oh well. We’ll be slicing demons before we know it when Devil May Cry 5 releases before the end of March 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
