PlayStation Hits Showcase Popular PS4 Games at Permanently Reduced Prices

Hot of the heels of the massive Days of Play promotion that ran through E3 2018, Sony has announced the PlayStation Hits program. The new program will apply to selected popular titles from the PS4 library, which will receive an unbelievable permanent reduction in price. It will offer these games at a price of only $19.99 USD, which will be available digitally via the PlayStation Store and also participating retailers across the US and Canada.

Sony Interactive Entertainment America PlayStation Marketing vice president Mary Yee announced the PlayStation Hits program on PlayStation Blog earlier today. The program will begin on June 28th, 2018. It’s pretty easy to identify which games will be included in the PlayStation Hits lineup. They will come in striking red packaging at retailers and red banners in the PlayStation Store.

There are all the initial offerings in the PlayStation Hits lineup. Sonu confirms that there will be more games added to the lineup in the future. It’s a great list of initial games. PS4 exclusives that definitely deserve to be added down the line include God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. Underrated exclusives like The Order 1886 would probably benefit from being included as well.

In other related news, Sony’s recent Days of Play promotion was a huge success. It managed to revitalize the sales of certain games like Assassin’s Creed Origins and more in certain regions around the world. In the UK, God of War managed to climb back to the top of the game charts thanks to the Days of Play discount.
