Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind, like all of the Elder Scrolls games, has a dedicated modding community that will cherish and love it until the end of time. It’s no surprise with how huge Elder Scroll’s fan community is, in fact, we can’t name anyone in the world that doesn’t have at least one favorite mod. It doesn’t matter if you’re a PC player or not, you’ll have one mod that you’ve seen in your life that will always bring a chuckle or blow you away with the time and effort spent on it. As gamers, finding the perfect mod is inevitable.
So this one may make it on your top ten list. Thanks to dedicated modder Nico Wilhelm, you can play Morrowind with HD textures that adds over 80 ground and wall textures, as well as over 170 normal maps for the environment and over 890 normal maps for clothes and armor. For those who aren’t aware, normal maps is a technique in computer graphics that simulates high detail bumps and dents using a bitmap image.
To be blunt, if you’re desperately wanting to get back into Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind but aren’t too sure you want to put up with how terribly squashed together the graphics are, then this mod was made for you. You can see some of the screenshots that Nico Wilhelm has included on the mods official page.
What you may have also noticed is that if you’re a purist Morrowind fan, then you’ll be happy to know that there is another HD texture pack that keeps the style of vanilla textures and simply adds detail if necessary. This means that the modder has matched the exact same color and saturation, as well as general brightness, and blended it perfectly with other Bethesda textures.
What’s more, the mod won’t be too much of a hit on your PC either, meaning that performance will be smooth. So, what are you waiting for? Get downloading that mod as soon as humanly possible.
