Fallout 4 Mod ‘Recreates’ the Fallout 76 Experience

The beta test for Fallout 76 is said to be coming out soon in these months to come. But thanks to a Fallout 4 mod, created by SKK50, you can get your hands on a very jokey Fallout 76 experience already without even having to pre-order Bethesda’s newest game at all. That is if you’re fine with playing Fallout 76 in Fallout 4’s engine.

Though we have to ask you don’t get too excited. While this Fallout 4 mod boasts it has ‘everything’ that Fallout 76 will have, it does not have multiplayer. What it does have, however, is a rather funny portrayal of the modder’s ‘worst expectations’ when it comes to Fallout 76. Which means constant nukes, overpowered players killing you with every chance they get and an overall experience lacking in fun and meaningful progress.

One significant thing SKK50 changed was that they made to the game was lowering the NPC count, removing 95% of rural and 80% of urban citizens of the Commonwealth. This is to help recreate the atmosphere of the upcoming game, which will have no NPCs for players to interact with, and so that means in this mod you won’t be hanging out with your friends Piper and Hancock any longer.

But what really makes this mod so cheeky is the use of NPC’s as ‘griefers’. Their entire existence is to simulate other players in Fallout 76, only these guys aren’t at all friendly and will spend most of their time trying to shoot you. Even if you don’t fire back. These ‘griefers’, having names like L33T PWNZ BOSS are there to reflect many player’s fears about how some players may just take this new game as an apocalyptic killing-zone.

While some die-hard Bethesda fans may think this mod takes worries too far, SKK50 is quick to explain that the Fallout 4 mod is just a joke and is looking forward to playing the beta as soon as it officially releases.
