Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy mods are now a thing on PC, apparently! The newly-launched port is doing insanely well right now, especially after releasing on the PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch last week. Gamers should be glad to learn that the first Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy mod is now available on the PC version. Ready? The game’s first mod replaces the original Crash Bandicoot model with a skeleton model. Although it’s not a game-changing mod in any way, it opens up incredible possibilities for more mods to come in the future.
As reported by DSOGaming, players of Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy on the PC can download the mod at NexusMods here. It’s described as “a simple swap mod.” It’s actually simple to install, as players will only need to download the Crash.pak file and paste it into “..\Steam\steamapps\common\Crash Bandicoot – N Sane Trilogy\archives\.” It will then replace existing files Crash.igz and CrashSpinHead.igz with CrashSkeleton.igz. Voila! Now you can enjoy your skeleton Crash Bandicoot while you fall repeatedly to your doom.
Alongside launching on other platforms, patch 1.06 was released for the PS4 version of Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy. The new update introduced HDR to the game, which complements its 4K visuals on the PS4 Pro. It also released Future Tense, the brand new level crafted by developer Vicarious Visions. It’s great to see new content for what is essentially a remaster of a 20-year-old franchise.
Thanks to the multi-platform release last week, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy managed to jump to the top of the UK game charts. That’s quite an impressive feat, considering that the game was at number 22 in the previous week. The Crew 2 grabbed the second spot as it was the only brand new game to be released last week. The World Cup fever is still going strong (It’s coming home!), allowing FIFA 18 to maintain its foothold in the top three from previous weeks.
