Fighting EX Layer Free DLC Includes Two Brand New Characters

The recently released Fighting EX Layer is to receive two free characters. The developer, Arika, also announced the next program update for the game. The update will include several new additions including an arcade mode.

Developer and Publisher Arika has announced via Twitter two new characters will be coming to Fighting EX Layer. The two characters are Vulcano Russo and Pullum Purna. New characters for fighting games is always good but the good thing here is that they are free. Character backgrounds were provided for the two new fighters.

Pullum Purna:

After her father’s disappearance, Purna rose up and governed her country in his stead. While trying to figure out a way to escape from the boredom of her daily life, Purna discovered a clue about her father’s disappearance. After sharing this information with her people, Purna declared that she herself would go out in search for him. Noticing her attendant Darun was also missing, she resolved to search for him as well.

Vulcano Russo:

After graduating from the Organization, Rosso began his new life as the “Narcissist Detective”. Although initially, he didn’t intend on taking a request from a certain rich princess, once he heard the target was Jack he changed his mind. Besides, he has to collect the money Jack owes him from their Poker games!

Arika also announced that they currently working on the next program update which they plan to release before the end of July. The update plans to add the option to return to training mode after connecting to an online match and Arcade Mode version 0.80. The arcade mode’s name is temporary.

Fighting EX Layer released last month and whilst it is a fun fighting game with solid mechanics, the lack of content could put some people off. The upcoming program update and two new characters will give the game more value or money. The introduction of an arcade mode is a good way to attract die-hard fans of the fighting game genre.

Fighting EX Layer is available now on PS4. There is no word on the game releasing on other platforms as of yet.
