Epic Games and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment have announced a new Fortnite physical release, and it’s the Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle. The new Fortnite retail version will be distributed worldwide for the PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch starting from November 13, 2018. It will arrive with a price of $29.99 on all platforms.
The Fortnite physical release Deep Freeze Bundle will also be available digitally through the in-game store, the Fortnite Item Shop, or first-party digital marketplaces like the PlayStation Store. The Deep Freeze Bundle contains Fortnite and premium cosmetic items like the Frostbite Outfit, Cold Front Glider, Chill-Axe Pickaxe, and Freezing Point Back Bling.
Additionally, players who purchase the Fortnite physical release Deep Freeze Bundle will receive a total of 1000 V-Bucks, which can be used to purchase more in-game items. The new Fortnite retail version would be a good starting point for newcomers to the game, especially with Fortnite Season 6 just recently kicking off. The fact that it will be released during the holidays will also attract even more potential new Fortnite players.
It’s interesting how the Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle features the same content for all available platforms. Gamers looking for platform-exclusive content can look for other retail versions. For instance, the Fortnite Nintendo Switch bundle was recently released with unique neon blue and red Joy-Cons and the Double Helix Bundle, which is not available for players on other platforms.
Although Fortnite is technically free-to-play, this new Fortnite physical release will surely appeal to those who are looking specifically for a retail version of the game. In other related news, this isn’t the first time that Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has announced an exclusive distributing partnership with an established games developer. The most recent deal was with Polish developer CD Projekt Red for the distribution of the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 in North America.
