Bayonetta 2 “Ups The Ante” With Larger Scale, Plans To Maximize Potential Of Wii U

Bayonetta has some sweet tricks in store for Nintendo fans.

A new Bayonetta 2 trailer has been released by Nintendo, and it focuses on Platinum Games' effort to develop a killer app for the Wii U. In it, several members of the development team share their thoughts, one of whom states the following:

The scale of the game is completely different this time, so it feels like you are fighting the last boss from the very beginning.

Another programmer added:

We want to make a game that maximizes the potential of Wii U, but also ups the ante on the climax action you'd expect from Bayonetta 2.

The original Bayonetta was rich with colorful visuals and cohesive combat, but scale wasn't a focus. Retaining the previous game's flavorful design and throwing in larger environments might be just what the Wii U needs to show that it can deliver epic experiences.
