Assassin's Creed Odyssey Lightning Bringer quest

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lightning Bringer Quest Now Live, Introduces Steropes

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lightning Bringer quest is now live. The quest adds Steropes, a particularly tough cyclops that is known by the terrifying nickname “Lightning Bringer.”

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has released a new piece of free content to compliment the DLC on offer. Higher-level players are in for a tough battle against Steropes, a massive cyclops who is all too happy to turn you into paste with his gigantic club. The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lightning Bringer quest is sure to be a tough fight.

The quest is now available for all players in the game. There won’t be any need to download any sort of update. You’ll find that the quest has been automatically added to your menu without any additional effort on your part.

Making it to Steropes himself is a pretty simple task. Head over to Andros and follow the quest marker to Steropes Bay. The cyclops will emerge from his cave once you get close enough to the center of the pool. Steropes will posture for a moment before moving towards you. You’ll soon see that he’s easily twice as large as any man and a terrifying threat that should not be underestimated.

Battling Steropes is a challenge intended for higher-level players. His eye is his most vulnerable point. Unfortunately, he’s well aware of this weakness and tends to protect his face with his right arm. Keeping your distance and shooting him with a bow is probably the best way to go about things. You wouldn’t want to get within swinging range of his hefty club.

The battle is a positively Herculean task. Killing the cyclops and completing the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lightning Bringer quest will award you with the legendary weapon Steropes’ Bow. It makes for a pretty solid reward considering that you probably killed him with a bow to begin with. Unfortunately, users on the /r/AssassinsCreed subreddit are reporting that a bug with the new bow makes your quiver invisible.

This new content should give players a bit of extra meat to chew on. The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Lightning Bringer quest should make for an exciting challenge in a game brimming with legendary battles.
