PlayStation 4 To Cost Around $400, According To Japanese Newspaper

Rumor has it that the next-generation PlayStation will be priced somewhere in the ballpark of $400.

According to Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun (translated by The Verge), the device will bear a price tag of 40,000 Yen, which converts to approximately $430. Back when the PS3 first launched, it was priced at 60,000 Yen in Japan, and $600 in the United States, so if history (and this report) prove to be true, then Sony will likely price the device at an even $400.

How does this price of entry sound to you? Would you be willing to part with that much cash to get the console on day one? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below.
