New Final Fantasy Title To Be Revealed At E3

When Final Fantasy brand director Shinji Hashimoto walked out on stage, I'm sure one of two games were on your mind: Final Fantasy X HD and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Sadly, neither were mentioned at all.

Instead, Square Enix decided to troll the internet by announcing that yet another new entry in the Final Fantasy series is underway and will be revealed at E3. Mind you, this news comes right after they showed us a next-gen tech demo that is now close to a year old.

It's worth noting that past rumors suggest that Versus XIII may in fact be getting re-branded as something else, so perhaps this announcement is in reference to a revised version of that game. If that is the case, Square, please don't call it "Final Fantasy Versus XIII: A Realm Reborn."
