Tekken x Street Fighter Not In Development Yet

Namco Bandai is really starting to make a strong push right before E3 hits. On top of announcing Soul Calibur V Katsuhiro Harada , the head of the Tekken team also dropped the bomb that production has not begun on their half of the Capcom crossover brawler Tekken X Street Fighter.

"We really haven't started on Tekken X Street Fighter,Things are going well with Street Fighter X Tekken and we'll have more on that at E3. We hope you look forward to that."

With one of the biggest gaming press events of the year less than a month away, it's not surprise that they're holding off on revealing too much too early. I'm very curious to see how their take on SF characters turns out. At least in the meantime my all time favorite, Tekken Tag is finally getting a sequel. Along with that, there's also a Tekken film that's being produced right now. So it's not like fans of the series will be hard pressed to find a fight.

For their part Capcom added that their Street Fighter X Tekken should be ready around April 2012. Now if they could just get Marvel to throw their hat into the ring, we'd have the ultimate crossover.
