Yager, the studio behind last year's surprisingly deep third-person shooter Spec Ops: The Line, will be making use of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4 in the development of their next major title. This shouldn't come as too much of a shock, as the studio used Unreal Engine 3 when developing Spec Ops.
Timo Ullmann, managing director at Yager, explained:
Unreal Engine 4 is, hands down, the best toolset for creating next-generation, AAA games. Unreal Engine 3 enabled our great team to tap its full potential for the development for our award-winning game Spec Ops: The Line and beyond.
YAGER is thrilled to be utilizing Epic’s latest technology for our foremost project as the new workflow is incredible, and Blueprint visual scripting gives us more control over building our games than ever before.
Over on the developer's official website, their unannounced project is classified as a "AAA first-person shooter." Expect to hear more about what's next for Yager in the coming months.
