NPD: Wii U Sales Continue To Underwhelm

In case you didn't get the memo, the Wii U hasn't been doing so well as of late. The new year hasn't been particularly kind to Nintendo's tablet-centric console, as sales have been depressingly low.

According to the latest NPD data (via Gamasutra), the Wii U sold a measly 57,000 units in January and 64,000 the month after. Conversely, the Xbox 360 topped the hardware charts with 302,000 units sold, and that's a console that is now over seven years old!

Fortunately, LEGO City: Undercover looks to be quite good (read our review here), so perhaps this new Wii U-exclusive will help spur at least a few more sales. Seriously, where are all the games?!
