Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition contains a Diamond Loot Chest

Leaked images of the Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition and box art have made their way online, showing what goodies players will seemingly be offered to players. This includes a replica of a Diamond Loot Chest, along with character figurines, a snap model, keychains, and a cloth map of the Borderlands 3 galaxy.

The images were leaked by Wario64 on Twitter, with him posting images of the game’s box art, along with the Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition and Super Deluxe Edition. The three boxes come in blue, red, or gold, depending on which version of the game that players purchase.

The game’s official Twitter account all but confirmed the legitimacy of these leaks, replying: “How do you do, fellow gamers? This sure looks neat! Guess we all better tune in tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. PT to find out if it’s real…”

The leak suggests that the Borderlands 3 Collector’s Edition includes:

  • Diamond Loot Chest replica
  • Sanctuary 3 snap model
  • 10 character figurines
  • 5 character art lithographs
  • 4 Vault Key keychains
  • Cloth map of the galaxy
  • Borderlands 3 game
  • Steelbook case
  • season pass
  • Deluxe bonus content
  • Gold weapon skins pack

And below are the three leaked images of the game’s box art:

Borderlands 3 was officially announced during PAX East, with developer Gearbox set to reveal more information today (April 3). On April 1, a now-deleted video ad posted by the official Borderlands 3 Twitter account stated it would be released on September 13, 2019, along with stating that it would feature a gold weapon skins pack. With the above image also including a reference to a gold weapon skins pack, it seems that this leak is legitimate.

The tweet also pointed towards Borderlands 3 being an Epic Games Store exclusive, with the Epic logo being the only one visible in the ad. Gearbox CEO addressed the concerns surrounding the Epic exclusivity, tweeting: “2K/Take Two has exclusive publishing rights for Borderlands 3 and makes all decisions regarding price-points, territories, distribution and platform partnerships. Please direct all inquiries regarding any of those topics to 2K. We are *just* the talent.”
