Xbox Game Pass April 2019

Xbox Game Pass April 2019 titles include Monster Hunter World and Life is Strange 2

Microsoft has announced six new games coming to the Xbox Game Pass April 2019 line-up. The headlining games include Monster Hunter World, Prey, and Life is Strange 2 Episode 2. Also included is The Walking Dead The Telltale Series: A New Frontier and Resident Evil 5. The six games are rounded off with the lesser-known sports title, The Golf Club 2.

As will all Xbox Game Pass releases, not all games are available from the first of the month. Xbox Game Pass April 2019 games kick-off with the addition of Maximum Games’ The Golf Club 2 and Arkane Studios Prey being released on April 11. Then, Dontnod’s second episode of Life is Strange 2 comes out on April 14. Monster Hunter World and The Walking Dead follow on April 18. The line-up is completed with the release of Resident Evil 5 on April 25.

Xbox Game Pass is currently available for $9.99 per month with the first month available for $1. Microsoft is reportedly looking to expand the scheme. An Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is said to be on the way. The Ultimate service will include an Xbox Live Gold subscription alongside Xbox Game Pass.

Along with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate news came suggestions that Microsoft would be looking to develop even more subscription bundles, with one aimed at PC users. Microsoft deepened Xbox integration with PC earlier this month. The Windows 10 Xbox game bar added the ability for users to chat and use an integrated version of Spotify. We looked at what these Xbox Game Pass and PC integration changes may mean for the future of Xbox Game Studios.

The new bundles may be a welcome addition for customers looking to get a better deal on their Xbox content. UK owners may have a particular interest after the price of Xbox Live Gold was raised by 25%, with the ongoing effects of Brexit thought to be to blame.
