Satoru Iwata Appointed CEO Of Nintendo Of America

A few leadership changes are currently taking place at Nintendo, as company president Satoru Iwata will take on the position of CEO of Nintendo of America. These new job responsibilities will be rolled into his current list of company-wide to-dos.

As a result, Tatsumi Kimishima will now serve as the general manager of Nintendo Co. Ltd. According to Nintendo, the leadership change was made to improve overall efficiency, specifically in regard to international business.

Fans of Reggie Fils-Aime can rest assured that this won't affect the Nintendo of America president, as he will most definitely continue to serve as the mouthpiece for the company in North America. Though, I'm sure if a promotion were in the works for him, his body would be ready.

What do you think of the added responsibilities granted to Iwata? Is he the right man for the job? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
