Nintendo held a surprise Direct and unveiled when the Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC is coming to the game. The Super Smash Bros Ultimate Joker release date is April 17 and it is releasing alongside a new update loaded with features. You can purchase him for $5.99, or buy the Season Pass for $24.99 and get him and four additional yet unknown characters. You can see him in action below.
On top of that, you’ll also get a whopping 11 tracks from the Persona soundtrack, as well as a hypnotic new stage called Mementos, which is from the Persona series. You’ll also get some new Persona spirits to go along with Joker. They are all included with Joker. More paid Mii Fighter outfits are available as well, including some new Sonic gear that fans of the speedy character won’t want to miss.
This Super Smash Bros Ultimate Joker DLC is also coming alongside a big update for the game that will make Smash players look better than ever. First off, there’s a new Smash Bros. Ultimate stage builder feature, as you can put together your dream — or nightmare — levels. There will also be a new Smash World integration feature, along with video editing, so you can share the very best that the game has to offer. And it’s all free with update 3.0.0, which should be live shortly if it’s not already.
This is huge news for Smash fans, though the next forthcoming fighter is still a mystery at this point. We’ll likely find out who they are around E3 time. Joker will be the first DLC character aside from Piranha Plant that Nintendo gave players who registered their game before January 31, 2019.
