Rayman Legends Launch Date Announced [Update]

[Update]: It appears the August 30th launch date applies speficially to Europe. North American gamers can expect to be able to purchase the title on September 3rd.

[Original Story]: Rayman Legends will launch on August 30th for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U, Ubisoft has just announced.

After delaying the game in favor of bringing it to additional platforms beyond the Wii U, the publisher projected a September release window for all three versions, but fortunately it looks like they've been able to expedite the process ever so slightly.

We've still got a few months of waiting to do before it finally hits store shelves, but at least we have a firm release date—granted they don't delay it yet again. That would just be downright cruel at this point, especially to the Wii U crowd. Seriously, I don't think they can stand any more abuse.

So, who's still excited for this game? Let us know if you've marked the date on your calendar in the comments below.
