Quantic Dream: PS4 Is “Like The PC Of Next Year Or Two Years”

Sony's next-gen gaming box launches later this year and ushers in a completely new era of gaming. Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream has been messing around with the hardware, and to no one's surprise, is quite impressed thus far.

“We are already seeing in the first (PS4 tests) that we’re doing a big difference,” studio CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere told GameSpot in a recent interview.

However, that doesn't mean that the PlayStation 4 doesn't have a ceiling that can be reached. “There are limitations on the PlayStation 3 and there will be limitations on PlayStation 4,” he added. “With the PlayStation 4, it’s something that really is more like the PC of next year or two years.”

Do you think this new wave of hardware will drastically change our game experiences? Will it be rendered obsolete by high powered gaming PCs in just a few years' time? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
