Batgirl Confirmed As Second Injustice DLC Character

Two days ago Batgirl appeared on the Xbox Live Marketplace under the Injustice: Gods Among Us section. After showing face for a couple hours she disappeared without a word spoken. As suspected, it wasn't a mistake.

The official @InjusticeGame Twitter account has confirmed Batgirl's addition to Injustice with the following post:

Looks like the bat's out of the bag. Batgirl is a playable DLC character in Injustice. Catch her gameplay next week!

Judging by her appearance in the image provided (as seen above) it appears that Injustice has chosen the Barbara Gordon version of Batgirl, Commissioner James Gordon's daughter. Fans have already shown displeasure in NetherRealm not choosing the Cassandra Cain version. Who woudn't want to play as a girl with lightning fast reflexes who is known as DC Comics' greatest assassin?

Both Batgirl and Lobo, the first DLC character, were rumored long before their appearance or confirmation. But they weren't alone. The final two characters were leaked as Zod and Scorpion. Although the rumor was brushed off by many, now that half of its characers have been confirmed fans are beginning to realize that it may be more than a rumor.

It appears that a gameplay trailer will be released in the next couple days followed by a release next week. Those with a season pass will have free access to her, while those who didn't invest in the early $14.99 package will need to cough up $4.99 if they want to play as her.
