No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

No Man’s Sky Beyond Launch Trailer gets us hyped for multiplayer

The No Man’s Sky Beyond Launch Trailer is here and it certainly does a fine job of getting us hyped up for the launch of this massive expansion to Hello Games’ signature title. Players have been hoping for multiplayer gameplay since day one and we are now less than a week away from finally getting our hands on it.

The first few moments of the No Man’s Sky Beyond Launch Trailer opens with text that highlights the procedural generation of the game. We then see a player running along the ground past some NPCs engaged in combat. The player crests a hill and continues walking before we finally see several ships touch down on the ground. The trailer then concludes with a flash of several images showing multiple players moving through the world, either on foot or in ships.

While fans may certainly be hyped to play multiplayer, there are some important caveats that need to be highlighted. This isn’t going to be some kind of massively-multiplayer online experience where you and twenty of your best friends take over an entire planet as noted by Eurogamer. In fact, you won’t even be able to see anyone else with you unless you’re in a party with them — and even that is going to be limited to three other people (for a total of four in a party, including yourself). As far as we know, no more than 16 people total are going to be around on the same server instance. At least you’ll have plenty of room to move around!

In any case, you’ll soon be able to play No Man’s Sky multiplayer with up to three of your friends in just a few short days. You can watch the No Man’s Sky Beyond Launch Trailer below. The latest and greatest expansion to the game arrives on August 14, 2019.
