Morrigan Will Play “A Significant Role” In Dragon Age: Inquisition But Won’t Join Your Party

BioWare has announced that Morrigan, the Witch of the Wilds from Dragon Age: Origins, will be returning to Inquisition; however, she won't join your party.

Creative director Mike Laidlaw confirmed the news to Game Informer, saying: "I think it is fair for people to understand that [Morrigan] will not be a party member. That’s going to disappoint some people, but I think it’s important for us to be upfront about that."

Story writer David Gaider went on to emphasize that while she may not be a playable character, Morrigan will still have "a significant role" to play in the game's story. "[Morrigan] has a human role in this plot, which may surprise some people because they might only think of her as a plot device. She has this big plot she's involved in, and while that's true to an extent, I'm taking her to a human place. That will make sense after the fact."

How do you feel about Morrigan not being an actual party member? Are you disappointed? Relieved? Let us know in the comments below.
