Persona 5 Royal release date revealed in new trailer

Atlus dropped the Persona 5 Royal release date in a trailer today. While the game launched in Japan on October 31, fans worldwide have been waiting for news of a localization. Well, we finally have our answer, and P5R will launch on March 31, 2020 in all territories.

Persona 5 Royal includes all the story content from the original Persona 5 and adds:

  • A new Phantom Thief: Kasumi Yoshikawa
  • A new Palace
  • New plot and social elements
  • A third semester
  • New music
  • PS4 pro support
  • and more

Atlus also revealed two physical editions that will be available upon launch:

There will also be two digital editions available for those who prefer to purchase via that route:

  • Persona 5 Royal Ultimate Edition $99.99: Includes the game and all DLC bundles plus six additional costume packs
  • Persona 5 Royal Deluxe Edition $69.99: Includes the game and the Royal Kasumi Costume Bundle

Unfortunately, Persona 5 Royal isn’t a complete edition of the game, and you still have to buy the DLC. Also, any DLC purchased for the base game doesn’t carry over to P5R. You can find the pricing for the DLC below:
