Maneater release date announced The Game Awards 2019

The Maneater release date was revealed at The Game Awards 2019. This gory shark game will hit PS4, Xbox One, PC (via the Epic Games Store), and Switch on May 22, 2020. The game is still listed as TBA on Steam, which makes sense give the exclusivity wars between the two big PC launchers. It will come to PC “12 months later.” The Epic Games Store has it at $39.99 so it won’t take a huge bit out of your wallet.

This was one of the first announcements of the night and took place during the pre-show. The trailer showcased many bloody kills, as you play as a shark with a lust for blood. It looks more akin to a Goat Simulator-esque type of game, but with more violence and RPG mechanics, as you can grow and evolve your sharp-toothed killer fish.

Maneater was previously set for 2019, but that has obviously gone out the window.
