Crysis Remastered release date delayed for all platforms

A need for further polish will see the Crysis Remastered release date delayed by at least a few weeks according to a statement released by the developers, and that’s not all — pre-orders on most platforms will also be opening at a later date.

Why was the Crysis Remastered release date delayed? It’s all explained in a tweet on the game’s official account.

“The features you’re looking forward to are already set, but we want to take the time on polishing the game,” read a portion of the statement. “You might be aware of the leak yesterday, and we want you to know: we’ve seen all the reactions — the good and the bad — and we’re listening! We’re still working on a number of things [in-game], as well as the storefront.”

Nintendo Switch pre-orders will remain open since they’ve already started, but PC, PS4, and Xbox One players are going to have to wait a little longer to secure their copy of the game.

Yesterday’s trailer leak just barely beat out the official reveal by a day. Now, the Crysis devs will be working on getting this upcoming game ready for primetime.
