Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Games With Gold Promotion Will Continue Beyond 2013

Microsoft has confirmed that it will be extending its "Games with Gold" promotion for Xbox Live users beyond 2013. Up until now, the Big M was only willing to commit to providing free games to Gold users until the end of the year, but that has fortunately changed.

Right now, you can get Halo 3 free of charge. Prior free games have included the likes of Assassin's Creed IIDead Rising 2, and Crackdown—and while they may not be the newest games ever, at least it is something right? Better than getting no free games at all.

Sadly, Microsoft has had nothing to share on the Xbox One front as far as free games go. While PlayStation 4 owners will be getting Resogun and Contrast free of charge, those on Xbox One can enjoy playing a single character in Killer Instinct over, and over, and over again.
