Need for Speed Rivals PS4 Release Date Bumped To Coincide With Launch

Electronic Arts has announced that Need for Speed Rivals will now launch a bit earlier so that PlayStation 4 owners will be able to play the game on launch day.

The racer was originally supposed to release on November 22nd, the same day Xbox One launches, but the PS4 version will instead hit North American store shelves on November 15th. Since Microsoft's console won't be available until the 22nd, EA is still planning to hold off on releasing the Xbox One version until the Kinect-friendly device is sitting happily on store shelves.

The current-gen and PC versions of the game will all be launching on November 19th. Based on prior reports, it looks like PlayStation 4 will be the best place to play the game, and not just because it will be available first.
