The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Power Broker

True villain teased in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode 2

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode 2 is now available to watch and, as Marvel fans might expect, it ends up asking a lot more questions than it answers. The main question viewers will have at the end is: Who is the Power Broker? Be prepared for spoilers as this recap explains the ending and who the true villain appears to be.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 2 Spoilers: Who is the Power Broker?

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Power Broker

In the comics, the Power Broker is named Curtiss Jackson. He started Power Broker Inc. and employs a scientist to make wrestlers stronger. He eventually expanded to include heroes, giving super-soldier powers to both U.S. Agent (John Walker, the new Captain America!) and Lemar Hoskins (Battlestar), as well as others.

In The Falcon and The Winter Soldier episode 2, the Flag Smashers have stolen from the Power Broker. It seems that they have stolen super serum from the show’s true villain. If the show pulls from the comic, it could be revealed that the new Captain America and Battlestar are both superpowered and have just been holding back.

There’s also a chance that the Power Broker will be revealed to be one of Red Skull’s accomplices, as occurred in Captain America #394.

Of course, the TV Show may put its own spin on the Power Broker. From what we’ve seen so far, our best guess for future episodes is that Sam and Bucky will pull a Steve Rogers and go against the government (including new Captain America), working with the Flag Smashers to take down the Power Broker. The Power Broker will then be revealed to be providing super-soldier serum to the US government, helping to power up John Walker.
