With the game revealed at Summer Game Fest this week, the first potential details of how Jurassic World Evolution 2 links to Jurassic World Dominion have been confirmed. The JWE2 connection to Jurassic World Dominion — next year’s movie and the final part of the Jurassic World trilogy — was revealed by both the official Twitter account and the Steam page. How is Jurassic World Evolution 2 linked to Dominion and Fallen Kingdom? Let’s see.
The Jurassic World Evolution 2 Jurassic World Dominion story connection
The reveal of Jurassic World Evolution 2 at Summer Game Fest yesterday already has fans looking to see how it will tie in with next year’s eagerly-anticipated Jurassic World Dominion. The first game had DLC based on Fallen Kingdom but was set prior to the first Jurassic World. Now the team has already revealed the setting of the second game, which takes place following the events of Fallen Kingdom — which means it either takes place alongside or directly before the events of Jurassic World Dominion.
Hi there @ikingronin,
This is a full sequel to Jurassic World Evolution, with new dinosaurs, increased customisation, and a brand new narrative that builds on the events of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.

The game’s Steam page makes the connection even more clear, as it states players will “lead efforts to control, conserve and contain dinosaurs as you work alongside iconic characters from the films, including Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard).” Dominion will also deal with the fallout from Fallen Kingdom, where many dinosaurs are out in the wild and others have been sold to greedy companies. Likewise, the plot will also feature characters from both the original Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies.
While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s also likely that Evolution 2 will feature dinosaurs from Dominion, perhaps as DLC the same way Evolution did with Fallen Kingdom. Just this week director Colin Trevorrow introduced the first scientifically accurate dinosaur from the movie, the Moros Intrepidus, so expect this little one to appear in JWE2.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 will release later this year and was revealed yesterday at Summer Game Fest, despite the sneaky developers convincing us that it wouldn’t feature. Also at the event, From Software’s Elden Ring was finally shown off, a Death Stranding Director’s Cut is on the way, and if Jurassic World Evolution 2 isn’t enough management strategy for one day, Two Point Hospital follow-up Two Point Campus was officially unveiled too.
