Pokemon Unite Update Patch Notes: Today, August 4

Balancing a MOBA is tough, and Pokemon Unite is no different. Gengar is currently terrorizing matches with a Hex and Sludge Bomb ability combo, that essentially allows for infinite casts. Now there’s a new Pokemon Unite update on the way, which, thankfully, contains a Gengar nerf that should significantly improve the game. That’s not all, though — these full Pokemon Unite update patch notes for August 4 detail every change made.

Gengar has thus far utilized an unbeatable and broken combo of Sludge Bomb and Hex in order to decimate opponents. In this new update, Hex has received a downgrade. While it’s not clear exactly how much of a downgrade this will be, any changes to Hex right now will prove to be a nerf to Gengar, so he should no longer haunt laners as much as he has been following this patch.
